Zishen Qinggan Granule(ZQG) is mainly used to treat Hyperprolactinemia (HPRL) in clinical. Clinical data showed that it could remarkable reduce the serum prolactin level, regulated the relevant hormone Level and improved the symptom of sufferers obviously. In order to expound the mechanism of ZQG, we investigated its effects based on animal experiments. We studied the effects of ZQG on PRL in the rats in vivo and in vitro. Rat model of HPRL established by hypodermic injection of diethylstilbestrol and mice model of HPRL induced by metoclopramide were used to observe the effccts of ZQG. It was found that ZQG could markedly decrease the serum PRL and P level, increase the serum LH level of animal model with hyperprolactiemia. It also could increase the indexes of uterus weight of rat model, and keep the ovary from atrophying. We cultured the isolated pituitary of rat with RPMI-1640 medium, and detected the changes of PRL. The results showed that ZQG could obviously inhibit the secretion of PRL.Overfull PRL acts on ovary and inhibits the synthesis and secretion of estrogen in HPRL. The ovariectomized rat was applied to observe the effect of ZQG. It was found that ZQG could increase the concentration and activity of estradiol. We applied chemical liver injury model produced by CCL4 to observe the effect of ZQG. Results showed that the elevation of ALT and AST in serum and liver were decreased by ZQG. ZQG also hold the definite effect on deficiency of the kidney-yang in mice. It could prevent from loss of body weight and fall of body temperature, and reprove the symptom of the mice of kidney yang deficiency.
