Turtle Eight Mainly For Treatment Of Simple Obesity Complicated By Clinical Studies Of Insomnia

Objective: This study is to evaluate the clinical effect and mechanism of action of Ling Gui Ba Fa to get the point according to the time, which treats the simple obesity complicating insomnia, and also to evaluate the difference of the effect between Ling Gui Ba Fa and the method of differentiation of syndrome to get the point.Methods: Patients were selected as simple obesity in accordance with the principle of"the guide of disease precaution and control of Chinese adult overweigh and obesity"from the disease control bureau in Ministry of Health on March 10,2003. Patients selected with simple obesity complicating insomnia were randomized into research group and control group. 18 patients were selected into observed group and the other 18 patients were selected into control group. The patients in observed group were treated with acupuncture by differentiation of syndromes combining Ling Gui Ba Fa according to the time to get the point; The patients in observed group were treated with acupuncture by differentiation of syndromes to get the point. The aim was to analyze and compare the effect of the two methods on insomnia and reducing weight.Results: Both observed group and control group are effective theropies to the Simple Obesity and insomnia as comp lication.The patients'weights,circumferences of chest,superior venter,waist,abdomen and buttocks,fat rate and BMI values had shown distinctive decreases after treatment,(observed group P<0.001;control group P<0.01)the same as insomnia(two group P<0.05) synmptom integral.The results obtained from observed group for the decrease values of the patients'weights,circumferences of superior venter,waist,abdomen and fat rate and BMI values had shown distinctive were highly significant from the control group(fat rate P<0.01, others P<0.05).While, chest,buttocks two groups had no significant.(P>0.05) diffe rences.Conclusions:The effect of acupuncture with Ling Gui Ba Fa to get the point according to the time which treated the simple obesity complicating insomnia was significant and better than differentiation of syndromes to get the point. Ling Gui Ba Fa to get the point according to the time is easy to operate; gets less point and has significant effect.
