This research mainly study four aspects of essential oil from Forsythia Suspensa(VOFS). First, this research studies extraction and separation ethnics of VOFS. Second, this article optimizes preparation ethnics of lipid emulsion which is a carrier of VOFS. Third, this paper studies the effects of anti-inflammation of VOFS. Fourth, this research paper study the acute toxicity experiment of VOFS and its lipid emulsion preparation.In extraction ethnic research, we compare two common measures: supercritical CO2 fluid extraction (SFE-CO2) and steam distillation (SD) which are used in extraction of essential oil. The conclusion is the SFE-CO2 was superior to SD in raising yield, but it brings too much impurity and it consumes too much energy sources. So we finally choice steam distillation (SD) as a method in extracting the essential oils from Forsythia Suspensa.In separation ethnics of VOFS, we introduce Vacuum batch distillation as the method for separation of VOFS .The result shows that this is a good approach for the separation of VOFS. Some component of VOFS is separated, their concentration reach 85% and40% separately.The study of anti-inflammation of VOFS indicates that different parts which are separated by Vacuum batch distillation have different anti-inflammation effects. Some parts have strong anti-inflammation effects, but some parts have no effect or side-effects. In this section we find that some substances have side-effects , so we dispel these parts and do some anti-inflammation experiments, the results show that anti-inflammation effect of this part is strongly more superior than any other parts including original VOFS.As to preparation ethnics of lipid emulsion, we introduce formulation of Sweden pharmacopoeia. We optimize preparation ethnics of lipid emulsion to adapt it to our VOFS which dispels these parts that have side-effects. The results show that the new preparation ethnics of lipid emulsion can be industrialized. The acute toxicity experiment of VOFS and its lipid emulsion preparation show that lipid emulsion preparation can reduce the VOFS's acute toxicity remarkably.
