We investigated constituents of steroidal saponms of the rhizomes of Paris polyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis, one new compound together with five known compounds were isolated by using open-column(silica gel, macroreticular resin, sephardex,ODS), preparative HPLC methods et al. The structre of the new steroidal saponin was elucidated as 3-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl(1â†'6)-β-D-glu-opyranosyl-(1â†'3)-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1â†'2)]-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(23S,24S)-spiralsteroi d-5,25(27)-diene-1β,3β,23, 24-tetrol-24-O-β-D-galactopyranose by 1~H-NMR,13~C-NMR,HMBC, HMQC, 1~H-1~HCOSY techniques, ESI/MS anzlysis, as well as chemical methods. The structures of five known compounds were elucidated as diosgenin3-O-α-L-arabinofuranosyl-(1â†'4)-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1â†'2)]-β-D-glucopyranoside,diosgenin3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1â†'3)-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1â†'2)]-β-D-glucopyranoside and pennogenin3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1â†'4)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1â†'4)-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1â†'2)]-β-D-glucopyranoside and diosg-enin3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1â†'4)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1â†'4)-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1â†'2)]-β-D-glucopyranoside by 1~H-NMR,(13)~C-NMR,IR techniques.The literature had more reports about active ingredient of Paris polyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis. we study on isolation and structure elucidation of steroidal saponins, supply various reference substance for its quality control and identification, thus laid material foundation for developping new drug of Paris polyphylla Smithvar. yunnanensis. |
