| This dissertation reported the investigation on the chemical constituents and bioactivities of two species of genus Schisandra(Schisandra rubriflora(Franch) Rehd.et Wils and Schisandra propinqua(Wall)Hook.et Thoms.var.intermedia A. C.Sm.).By the means of chromatographic methods and spectroscopic evidences,53 compouds(52 different ones)were isolated and identified from two Schisandra medicinal plants,including lignans(dibenzocyclooctenes,dibenzylbutanes, ditetrahydrofurans,and neolignan),triterpenoids,sesquiterpenoids,monoterpenoids, steroid,phenylpropanoids,glyceride,and aromatic compounds.Among them,six compounds were new ones and one compound was new natural product. Phytochemical investigation of two Schisandra species indicated that the major constituents of these two plants were lignans,while triterpenoids were few.In addition,sesquiterpenoids were other major constituents in both plants.Schisandra rubriflora is mainly distributed in China(Yunnan and Sichuan province),Burma and India.It has been used as sedative and tonic agents in traditional Chinese medicine for a long time.The seeds and stems of S.rubriflora were all ethno-medicine and were used for the treatment of gastroenteric disorders, rheumatoid arthritis and neurasthenia.Our investigation of the chemical constituents of the leaves and stems of this plant collected in Dacunqiao Montain(2600-2800 m above sea level),Yunnan Province resulted in the isolation of four new dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans,together with 24 known compounds.Schisandra propinqua(Wall)Hook.et Thoms.var.intermedia A.C.Sm.is mainly distributed in Guangxi and Yunnan province of the People's Republic of China.Indigenous to Yunnan,S.propinqua was used in folk medicine as a substitute of S.chinesis,a famous traditional Chinese medicine for over 2000 years as a tonic and sedative.A herbal medicine preparation of the stems and roots of the titled plant are a major component for the treatment of lung carcinoma in several hospitals in Yunnan.The investigation of the leaves and stems of this plant collected in Honghe, Yunnan Province,led to the isolation of 25 compounds,including two new ones(a new dibenzocyclooctadiene lignan and a new cinnamic acid monoterpenoid ester) and a new natural bisabolane sesquiterpenoid.Partial new compounds isolated from the two species were evaluated for their anti-HIV-1 activities in vitro and all compounds showed weak activities. |
