Hair Loss In Patients Quality Of Life Survey

Objective:To quantify the life quality of patients with hair loss.Methods:Questionnaire with Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQI) and Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(CES-D)were adopted to assess the life quality and psycho changes for outpatients with hair loss.Results:DLQI and CES-D scores of patients with hair loss were relatively higher than the control group(P＜0.05).There was a positive correlation between the CES-D and the DLQI scores(r=0.31,P＜0.01).Conclusion:The life quality of patients with hair loss was significantly reduced and the majority of patients may have clinical depression so that appropriate psychotherapy should be supplied with other treatments. Objective:To compare the life quality of patients with hair loss from Nanjing,Shanghai,Guangzhou,and Beijing.Methods:Questionnaire with Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQI) and Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(CES-D)were adopted in four cities to assess the life quality and psycho changes for outpatients with hair loss.Results:DLQI and CES-D scores of patients with hair loss from Guangzhou are significantly higher than the other three cities.(P＜0.05)。Conclusion:In Nanjing hair loss can cause as significant an impact on the quality of life in Embarrassment,Treatment,Social;In Shanghai the patients' suffering is Embarrassment,Social,Clothes;In Guangzhou is Embarrassment,Social,Treatment;and in Beijing is Embarrassment, Treatment,study.The Embarrassment is the most serious.The life quality of patients with hair loss was significantly reduced in the four cities.
