The holter monitor is a device that can detect electrocardiogram for 24 hours. To develop the advanced holter monitor is very important for diagnosing and curing cardiovascular disease.The holter has a history for decades of years, but it also has some disadvantages. Firstly, some of them are made up of 8-bit or 16-bit microprocessor, so the computing ability is limited and the holter can not diagnose the disease by itself. Secondly, the capacity of memory chip on board is little and it is not convenient to take out of the data. Thirdly, most of the holters can not transmit the data for a long distance and the analyzing report will be delayed for several days, so the conclusion report can not be made in real time. In this thesis, a holter which has large capacity of memory and the strong computing ability is designed. To make sure of the integrity of the data, the SD (Secure Digital Memory) card is used in the device which can save the heart data when the network can not work.In this thesis, an electrocardiogram detector and analysis system based on embedded technique is designed. The system has the functions of filtering interferential signal, amplifying the signals, converting the signals, storing and transmitting the heart signals. The CPU of the embedded platform is Samsung's S3C44B0X which is a 32-bit advanced microprocessor and is developed with an ARM7 core. The filter is used to filter the interferential signal of the heart signal which comes from the sensor. The amplifier is used to amplify the signal to the fit scope. The LCD screen is used to display the heart signal so that the patient can see the signal directly. The data is stored in a cheap SD card whose volume is little and power waste is low. It can keep the data for several days. The data is transmitted by the Ethernet network, which is swift .The data can be received by the server which is in the hospital and can be displayed on the server. The software design consists of the Bootloader, FAT filesystem and so on.
