Nervous Type is an important component of the Higher Nervous Activity Theory. Nervous type itself does not have merits and demerits in qualities, however, it dominates individual reactions, and it adjusts the efficiency and depth of interaction between environment and the individuals. At present, there are no significant differences on the technical level between domestic and international high performance athletes in sports competitions. The characteristic of the nervous type often plays a key factor in athlete on site emotional decision and competitive level, and it directly results in the success or failure of the final game. Therefore, the studies of nervous type in individual athletes and differences of sports project group features are important.This thesis has explored the rules and the relationship between the nervous type of athletes and their achievements in the elite sports competition. Based on the data mining technology, a series of assessment models were constructed in this thesis to access the athlete nervous types and project group features in the five sports projects (track and field, gymnastics, fencing, shooting and rowing), and a software system architecture was developed that provides reliable assessment of athlete nervous type and their project group features for the first time.The main work of the thesis includes the following parts:Firstly, it analyzed the demands of assessment models and the systemic architecture in the project group features of athlete nervous types, collected the existing testing data from project group features database of athlete nervous type. The data include five target project groups: track and field, gymnastics, fencing, shooting, and rowing.Secondly, it used the Decision Tree and Association of Data Mining technology, analyzed the testing data and identifying correlation of target characteristics between nervous type and the sports projects that the athletes engaged in, and then constructed five assessment models of the athlete nervous type.Based on these five models, with the utility of .NET platform and the C/S construction, an entire assessment system was further developed in athlete nervous type of the sports projects. This assessment system provides an assessment and decision-making tool that high efficient and practical for athlete's self-assessment and individual training plan set up, the athlete selecting and training, professional sports coaches, on site competition directing and the regulating, managers and officials of sports organizations in their policy-making. It also assists the athlete and adjustment to obtain the maximum achievement in the competition.
