Background: The rule of dosage and function association of traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the treasure of long period experience. But these experiences cannot form into a specific system. The textbook of TCM only give usually dosage and a few description of relationship between Dosage and function. The correlative experiment research is mostly of animal and pharmacological.Intention: Guizhi Tang and Sijunzi Tang data-base were established after it has been standardized. The dissertation is based on the TCM theory of the function of prescription and uses the Data Mining technic to find the regularity of dosage and function relation of TCM. It provides a new method to study the rule of dosage and function association of TCM.Method: The primary modern study of dosage and function association of TCM is based on the effect index of monomers or compound of TCM.But this kind of method is not very fit for TCM.The development of computer science and artificial intelligence provides new methods to study the dosage and function association of TCM. Data Mining is a new information processing method which can find interesting mode and connotative knowledge from a great deal of data. Data Mining is not only fit for measurable and linearity data, but also fit for illegible, non-linear and complex data.The data-base of this study is collect from clinic and the mode which get from data-base can also use to clinic.The minning of association rule is a important embranchment of data minning. It can open out special connection of many attribute of affairs. Fuzzy set is inducted to the minning of associateion rule and so the borderline of the span is intenerated. It is accord with the characteristic of TCM.Content: The dissertation not only analyzes the quanity-function correlation of TCM, but also studies the supernormal dosage and dosage and structure association.Result: The rule of quantity-function correlation got from procedure based on data minning present the regularity of formula dosage. The most of results is accord wih TCM theory. Some of results seem to contradict the TCM theory, but it is frequently practiced in the clinic. It provides a new method to study the dosage and function association of TCM and is worthy to be further researched.
