Characteristic Of Chinese Medicine Demonstration Area Community Health Services And Economic Analysis

With the development of market economy and the change in income distribution system in our country,the rich-poor gap has grown with the economy,in this situation the problem of low and middle income families seeing a doctor become a major issue.The combination of traditional Chinese medicine and community health service is seen as an effective method to relieve this problem.This research aims to make economic analysis to community traditional Chinese medicine,providing some basis for the policy setting of relevant sectors.The subjects of this study are the community health service centers in the administrative districts which have been named as "national demonstration areas of community traditional Chinese medicine" by State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and we also select another community health service center in the same place with each demonstration center as the contrastive subjects of the study.We collect datum through questionnaire survey and interview,and analyzed these datum to know about the development situations of traditional Chinese medicine in community health service facilities,and compared the input-output,treatment costs and evaluation of patients between these two different kinds of community health service centers.Through the datum we got that in community health service facilities,staff and equipment of traditional Chinese medicine is insufficient.Demonstration community health service centers of Chinese medicine get more financial supporting than the non-demonstration centers, and in the income-expense structures,the share of drug income in total income in demonstration centers in lower than non-demonstration centers,reflecting the treatment features of traditional Chinese medicine.In the demonstration centers,usage of traditional Chinese medicine is higher than non-demonstration centers,and patients in demonstration centers are more likely to take traditional Chinese medicine treatment.With the same scale,traditional Chinese medicine demonstration health service centers are more efficient in input-output than non-demonstration centers.The average cost of prescription in traditional Chinese medicine demonstration health service centers in lower than non-demonstration centers.The costs of the 8 specified sickness per capita is different in different places,but in some traditional Chinese medicine demonstration health service centers, the costs of foreign medicine is too high,which is not rational.Patients have a high satisfaction with community health service,in these two kinds of facilities patients are both satisfied with the effect of traditional Chinese medicine,and think its costs is reasonable.Still patients in traditional Chinese medicine demonstration health service centers are more satisfied with the effect of Chinese medicine.Through these analysis,this research concluded some features,advantages and problems of traditional Chinese medicine demonstration health service centers,finally in base of these analysis we give some suggestions for the further development of traditional Chinese medicine in community health service facilities.
