About 80%~90% of sudden cardiac death is caused by ventricular fibrillation. Cardiac defibrillator is applied to the medical rescue and treatment of arrhythmia. It produced appropriate energy of the current plus that flows through the person's heart to eliminate ventricular fibrillation, making the heart restore normal sinus rhythm. In this article,we focuse on the development of the contoller of the automatic external defibrillator. We complete the software and hardware design of the controller based on TI's TMS320VC5509DSP, and research the ECG denosing and R wave detection Algorithm. The controller mainly includes DSP boot module, A/D conversion circuit in signal acquisition module, LCD display module. The following is included.DSP boot module is based on the SPI-EEPROM boot mode of DSP, we complete the production of boot, and the eeprom programming. A/D conversion circuit is based on TMS320VC5509 DSP's onchip A/D converter, we design and complete the hardware interface and software of A/D conversion circuit. It can capture signals of different frequency. The display part of display module is a 320*240 LCD module that has a built-in RA8835 LCD controller. We design and complete the hardware interface between TMS320VC5509 DSP and RA8835, and the display driver software. We design human-machine interface on the LCD screen, and display ECG wave on the screen.The research of real-time R wave detection algorithm consists two aspects. In the first phase, we research how to filter out the high frequency noise, such as muscle artifact,50Hz frequency interference. In the second phase, we research how to detect the R wave. We use wavelet transform to detect R wave, that bases on Marr wavelet as mother wavelet, and we design a reasonable decision logic of R wave detection. Finally, the real-time R wave detection algorithm was implemented on a DSP. When the main frequency of the DSP is set at 120MHz,the mean time of R wave detection is only 0.028s in the simulating ECG, achieving the real-time requirement.
