Significant difference was found between the decrease of total TNSS score in the active acupuncture group and the control group(P<0.05), however there was no significant difference found between the sham acupuncture group (P>0.05). The total score of TNNSS in the active acupuncture group decreased significantly from 1.71±0.96 to 1.01±0.79 (P<0.01). There was no significant difference among score changes in the active acupuncture group and two control groups (P>0.05). The total score of RQLQ in the active acupuncture group decreased significantly from 61.61±17.03 to 27.50±17.24 (P<0.01). There was great significant difference among score changes in the active acupuncture group and two control groups (P<0.01). The total score of nasal symptom in the active acupuncture group decreased significantly from 11.00±3.69 to 5.06±2.60 (P<0.01). There was great significant difference among score changes in the active acupuncture group and two control groups (P<0.01).In the follow-up four weeks after treatment, there was significant decrease in the total score of TNSS,TNNSS,RQLQ in the active acupuncture group, however, no significant difference was found between the sham acupuncture group and the active acupuncture group in the difference of scores before and after treatment (P>0.05).Only one patient experienced mild adverse reaction. Conclusion:Acupuncture has exact effectiveness and safety on persistent allergic rhinitis to improve symptoms of rhinitis and patients'life quality, and it has a good safety range...
