| Objective:To analyze the reasons of failed hip replacement and evaluate the clinical outcome after the revision.Methods:In the investigation for 31 cases from August 2004 to December 2009,5 cases were not followed up. Understanding their causes and treatment of renovation. Harris hip score were used to rate the standard to evaluate the efficacy of hip revision surgery of the patients before and after operation.Results:In the followed-up visit to 26 cases patients from 31 cases, average visit time 34 months. whys:23 cases of aseptic loosening,3 cases of infection,2 cases of dislocation,2 cases of periprosthetic femoral fracture,1 case of Acetabular malposition. average Harris point was raised from (36.8±19.69) before the operation to(78.8±10.47) (P< 0.05)after the operation. self-evaluation of surgical results are very satisfactory in 2 cases,24 patients are satisfied.Conclusion:The main reason for hip arthroplasty are aseptic loosening, infectious loosening,dislocation and periprosthetic femoral fracture.
