By The "quality" Into The "water"

Chinese painting has several thousand years of history and tradition, which is a complex of Chinese traditional culture and represents the aesthetic characteristic of Chinese nation. While learning from tradition, we can't ignore creation. The tradition is always connected with creation. Prosperity and Development of art and different art forms and technique should have common existent circumstance. Nowadays we are in the era of political globalization and economic integration. Humanity spirit, cultural approach and a trend of art can all be mutual communicated. Collision of Multi-culture, sense and art specially condition for development of material technique and breakthrough. This issue that how mixed media represented in Chinese painting could be developed and inherited was taken into the agenda. Inclusiveness represents the developing potential of Chinese painting. Contemporary is developing. Present development of Chinese painting is not only referring to material presentation, but also supplement in thoughts. Improving in art has to be skilled at understanding material. But a good artwork can't be limited like this. The key point is perspective and attitude. It is meaningless that technique on material is away from presenting art. What we learn from technique on material is for what we represent art and what we create art. Technique on material can be vague in thoughts. The concept of material is lost and changing.This article mainly indicated what I have studied about language of material on Chinese painting and contemporary art presentation in my three-year postgraduate study, and what I have felt during my entire producing artworks. It is a process of transforming the technique from multi-material to single element Ink-Wash. Through analyzing single case, I try to contribute a little for art development.
