The art of Dunhuang frescoes are the biggest frescos in the wall painting field of China; they are also the most important parts in the Dunhuang Art. In each epoch, Dunhuang frescoes have its own style combining the Chinese traditional culture with foreign culture, and then they come into being the particular art. From Beiliang dynasty to Yuan dynasty, about 5000 years, Dunhuang frescoes now have the most achievements in Chinese frescoes. Although Dunhuang frescoes had been forgotten by people after Yuan dynasty, they are still the treasures in Chinese art.Dunhuang apsaras appeared with caverns at the same time, they went through thousands years, from the sixteen-nation dynasty to the end of Yuan dynasty, then disappeared at the same time. As an important part of Dunhuang art, Dunhuang apsaras are loved by artists and people, although Dunhuang apsaras is one person standing by the lord Buddha. Apsaras in China is influenced by the Confucian as well as flying people in Taoist and the immortal of Chinese myth. As the key part of Dunhuang art, Dunhuang apsaras has significance in modern society. Dunhuang caverns used the wonderful technique of expression to show a paradise for people, enrich the knowledge in Chinese traditional drawing skills and character molding for people.
