There is some differences between Chinese text and Spelling text,and Chinese text uses the character as a unit, there are no obvious boundary between words,but Spelling text have obvious boundary between words.As to study Chinese, many foreigner student reported that they can not syncopate words in Chinese reading which cause them understand the semanteme difficultly. This study use Space and Shadow as words label, through three experiments using computer and DMDX procedure, by recording Russian students' react time when they reading the Chinese text in four different conditions(normal text, Space in word, Space in character, non-word). And this study included three experiments.In experiment one, we use Russian students as participants, take four conditions (normal text, Space in word, Space in character, non-word), to explore the effect of different condition on Russian students when they read Chinese text.In experiment two, we also use Russian students as participants,but the conditions are different,the four conditions are:normal text, shadow in word, shadow in character, non-word, to explore the effect of different condition on Russian students when they read Chinese text.In experiment three, we accorded the Test of Chinese Language Ability divided the Russian student in to three levels:primary, mid-level and advanced level,to explore the effect of different conditions on different language ability Russian students when they read Chinese text. The results are as follows:(1) In reading time, we found that in space-word condition, the reading time was shorter than other three conditions, and in non-word condition, the reading time was longer than other three conditions.(2) In reading time, we found that in shadow condition, the reading time was shorter than other three conditions, and in non-word condition, the reading time was longer than other three conditions.(3) The students of advanced language ability spent shorter time than that primary and mid-level students when understand the Chinese text. For Russian students, word segmentation played a promote role in when they read the Chinese text, however, non-word segmentation interfered and obstructed Chinese text reading in certain degree.
