The paper is intended to compare and analyse Proust's and Virginia Woolf s stream-of-consciousness novels, such as Mrs. Dalloway, To the Lighthouse,and Remembrance of Things Past, on the basis of comprehensive comparison of two writers, the author will compare their difference from three aspects:nation, gender and aesthetic. Parallel compare and analyse the novels, which aims to specific similarities and differences of the two writers, meanwhile can deepen the cognition on the writers and works, also can restudy why stream-of-consciousness technique of expression remains active in the literary creation, with more hope that through this comparison, enlarge vision, keep an eye on our inner world, and understanding of life's significance.In the introduction section, the author firstly reviewed the history of consciousness and stream of consciousness literature, the paper make a briefly summarizes, mainly analyzes the theoretical sources, and its development process; on this basis, the two writers were compared on the whole, conclude the similarities which hide in their creation. Meanwhile, the former research results are cited as a reference, radicate the paper's thesis, highlight two writers in various aspects comparability.This paper is divided into three sections:The first chapter is the differences between two writers'creation of national.
