Throughout the history of Chinese film, the women director as a creative group, constituted an important part during the development of the film. However, it rarely works to appear on behalf of female identity. It submerged in a flood of patriarchal discourse, or fell into the trap of male sexuality observation of commercial era, or flew in the embarrassing situations as only telling their own stories. And since the rise of the New Documentary Movement of the late eighties, the independent creators refreshed the expression of image, while its technical innovations providesbut the female directors for much feminism space. Not only in the fact of technology, but also in text, the interaction with the audience, the feminist words of documentary have broken the male monopoly, and made a new viewing mode possible.
