Xiao Yan and his sons are not only the ruler of the Liang Dynasty, but also the main poet and literary theoreician. Their achievement and some attitude had great influnce on literature development at that time. The author intends to discuss their achievement and influnce from literature idea, poetry Characteristics and writer group. This thesis has four parts. In the first part , the author relates the literature development sequence of the Liang Dy- nasty and a brief biogrophical note on XiaoYan and his three Sons. The second part enpounds the Xiaos's literature idea and its influnce on the Liang Dynasty. The third part discuss Xiaos's achievement on poetry and "fu" In the last part,the author discuss the feature of literature group on the Liang Dynasty and Xiaos's positive role on it.
