Wang Guowei once pointed out in the author's preface of The History of Drama in Song and Yuan Dynasty, "Every generation has his own literature, such as Sao, a literary writing, in the period of Chu, Fu in Han Dynasty, Poetry in Tang, Ci in Song, Qu, a type of verse in singing, in Yuan Dynasty, all of which are the typical production of its time and, thus, can not be preceded by the following generations." He then pointed out in the articles of Yuan Qu of The History of Drama in Song and Yuan Dynasty, "The writers in the Yuan dynasty wrote all the things in them and around them whose writings revealed their sincerity and talents." Hence, it can be concluded that Yuan Qu shows a general picture of Yuan Dynasty and the mentality of the writers.The writer of the paper starts depicting the love stories in Yuan poetic drama between the literati and the actress, then analyses the social panorama in it and the social status and attitude of literati of that time, and ultimately hits the point that resonance is aroused between them owing to their common fate. Further in this paper, the writer also presents the uniqueness and the profundity of the artistic conception and the implication of the Yuan poetic drama.What's more, the writer attempts to open up the social origin and the interior world of the literati by comparing the mishap in the reality with the smooth and good luck in the fictional world in Yuan poetic drama, and fulfills to expose the social features of Yuan dynasty and the mentality and pursue of the literati.
