| This thesis takes Zhang Yi-mou's nine films as the object of research. Starting with the shooting cause of each film, the paper put emphasis on Mr. Zhang's attitude to the life, the conflict of soul and the social ideal expressed in different films.The thesis try to explore Mr. Zhang's pursue on the way of movie by researching the longitudinal development of these films in the process of the time, thus disclose the essential characters of them.On the research about Mr. Zhang's films, most researchers impose some abstract imported cultural theories on his films in a surprising same way .In my opinion, these researchers deviate from the essential of film. Therefore, free from the conservational theories, this thesis analyzes Mr. Zhang's films in a totally new view, that is, from the changes of the soul; seeking the most direct relationship between the director and the film. |
