Chen Peixun Guangdong Music Theme Piano

Chen Peixun is a famous contemporary composer. Although the number of his piano compositions isn't plentiful, quality is very high. All of compositions are fine works and show his remarkable artistic talent suffiently. Especially, five piano compositions created according to the material of Guang dong Music not only retain the original songs' essence, but also apply kinds of creational skills and piano's peculiar music language to express the intension of the original songs, and make music possess new meaning because of much characteristic of piano itself. They occupy the important position in the creation of Chinese Piano Music and have very high practical value in the field of performance and teaching.The paper argue and analyses the five piano compositions adapted by Chen Peixun according to the material of Guang dong Music - 《The Sereet Merchant》 《Longing for Love》 , 《Thunder in Dry Season》, 《The Butterfly Couple》 《Autumn Moon Over a Placid Lake》 from aspects of Creational back ground ,creational characteristic, creational skill and technique characteristic of performance. The paper has three sections. The first section is the introduction of piano compositions' creational back ground. The section introduces Guang dong Music , Chen Peixun and five piano compositions. The second section expounds five piano compositions' creational skill and technique. These skills and techniques include Music form Harmony Melody Mode etc. The third section is the five piano compositions of performance's analysis. The section includes the summary of performance's style and characteristic and performances' prompting.The three sections' arguments show that the compositions not only retain the original song's style of Guangdong Music sufficiently but also utilize the foreign musical instrument's superiority properly and produce very good performance's effect.
