The Jingling school is one of styles about poetics in the end of the Ming dynasty. Zhongxing and Tan Yuanchun are it's backbone. Although later generations always blame the Jingling school largely than praise it, the ideas of it's poetics fly their own colors. This thesis will review the basic ideas and these causes about the poetics of the Jingling school, refering to the poetics background at that time, contrasting it with the Hou Qizi school, the Gongan school, linking it with ZhongTan's experience, thought about literature and outlook on life.With the deline of the Hou Qizi school and the Gongan school, the Jingling school faced drawback of them and proposed viewpoint of "true poet being made by Jingshen", "pursuiting the place of Jingshen". Both learning classical poet and learning thought was based on it's theory. Zhongxing and Tanyuanchun were skilled in the Buddism or the Taoist school being embodied in theory about poetic creation. The new idea about "the living thing" generalized fitly difference of appreciating poet and enriching the theory of appreciating poet. The Jingling school believed the "thickness" as ideal about poetics and expounded the relation between "thickness" and "learning". They treated drawback in poetic field. In all, in spite of later generations's evaluating the Jingling school, Zhongxing and Tanyuanchun keeped self-confidence and self-meditation being manner of true literati.
