The thought of moderation is seeking perfection and harmony , pursuing proper and moderate degree . It is a thought full of flexibility and wisdom, which shows abstinence and tact . It has become the highest aesthetic ideal of Chinese ancestors and the best expression of beauty .This thesis tries to probe into the specific reflection of the spirit of moderation in essays on traditional Chinese painting , which mainly focuses on the following four respects : modelling , composition , brush work and ink -applying technique , coloring , in order to expose the aesthetic character of Chinese painting . I hope this thesis will be of some help for creation of current Chinese painting . |
