When perceptivity and rationality are discussed in moral domain, it always tends to identify perceptivity with human' natural desire and sensual needs, however, rationality is interpreted as intellectual moderation over natural desire and sensual needs. In fact, the connotation of perceptivity and rationality is more than those mentioned above. Perceptivity is viewed as the unification of human's perceptual needs and perceptual competence. Furthermore, it includes individuals' perceptual desire and individuals' perceptual experience and perceptual behavior as well. On the contrary rationality is the unification of human's rational objective and rational instrument, it includes human's rational objective of individual's inherent self-perfection and human's rational objective of the whole human being's inherent self-perfection as well. What's more, it includes the realistic means of human's competence of rational knowledge. Perceptivity and rationality together formed the basis of human being's morality. Rationality effects the possible realization of morality, but perceptivity value morality. Different ethic thinkers of sina-western countries in various ages positioned these questions differently in moral domain using different categories and concepts to refer to perceptivity and rationality. There was an argument between empiricism and mantalism in western countries ethical history, a debate on righteousness and interest, a struggle between rationality and desire in China's ethical history as well. However the ethical system of empiricism and mentalism were constructed from the self-perceptual desire, perceptual experience and the self rational sufficiency of individuality separately. Both empiricism and mentalism carried out their ethic discussion from the individuality, and this resulted in the rise of the ideology of individualism in the west. In contrast, the debate on righteousness and interest, and the struggle on rationality and desire in China tends to suppress and bindindividual's perceptual life with the collective rational regulations and objectives. The tradition mentioned above had caused the ethical situation that there was no individualism thought throughout the ages in China. With the deepening of China's reform and open to the outside world, and the gradual perfection of the market economy system, the implementation and perfection of individual's subjectivity are being emphasized more and more in the building of China's market economy. In addition the blowing-in ideology of western individualism, which has caused a fraction of Chinese begin to sing the song of praise on it. Due to the linkage of perceptivity with individuals needs, desire, feelings and experience, while rationality is always related to human's group competence and the rational regulations of social overall life, the conflict between perceptivity and rationality is represented by the argument between individualism and collectivism in contemporary China. Nowadays, China is undergoing the construction of social market economy which by its nature requiring individuals' independence, autonomy, mutual recognition, respect and cooperation, this decides the guidance of moral value of current stage in China must persist in collectivism value with collective interest as its basis and also giving consideration to individuals reasonable interest satisfaction.
