In the past twenty years, with more and more culture exchange between China and elsewhere in the world. With the rejuvenation of national culture, the modern Chinese oil paintings is drawing more and more world attention. This article compares culture difference between eastern and western in order to looking into the internal meaning and formation of modern Chinese oil paintings under the globalization circumstance. This article mainly concentrates on the following four points:1 Looking back into the modern western art and the inclination towards the artbefore and after Chinese revolution;2 The changes on the modern art language during the past twenty years; 3 The culture inclination and the outlook on value of modern Chinese oilpaintings; 4 The evolution of the internal meaning and formation of modern Chinese oilpaintings.Argue modern Chinese oil paintings is heading for integration and is deviating from the mainstream. However , modern Chinese oil paintings will have to seek its culture identity and geographical value, especially the past twenty years, oil paintings as an imported form art is colliding with local art and impacting each other. To change the current status , the Chinese art field should have a good understanding of itself, before it have further communication with the strong culture in the European and America under the same current condition.Since oil paintings is characterized by globalization nationalization diversification and getting close to life, I hold that modem Chinese oil paintings should pay more attention to society as well as human fortune, so that we could turn out new form of art with more vitality by combining our culture and social issue for the time being.
