Xushaozhen, the original control of the Ninth-Town New Army of Qing dynasty. After the Wuchang Uprising, he went with the tide of historical development, and he himself led the troops to come over in MoLingGuan . He failed at first. Later he was recommended to be the general commander of the United Army of JiangZhe, and led them to fight a bloody battle. On December 2th,1911, Nanjing was recovered. From then on,he followed Mr. SunZhongshan to guard the laws and protect the country , making great efforts to consolidate the revolutionary political power in the south. XuShaozhen was a typical figure who changed his stand from former bureaucrat to revolution in the background of the revolution of 1911.The article directed by Marxism materialist conception of history tries to put XuShaozhen and his activities before the Revolution of 1911, in the fight of Nanjing recovery and in his later years into the specific historical situation , in order to understand them deep . It also tries to probe into the peculiarities of his activities through contrasting with other officials in the same era, so as to deepen the comprehension of the diversity and the particularity of the modern history in China.
