The mixed voice parts chorus without accompaniment is a form to perform multi-voice part vocal music works, which has been one of the most valuable expressions among various chorus forms for long. Just as the famous conductor Ya Lun Gerile said that it flexibly absorbed the chorus skills European and modern music, dug, inherited and developed the unique music custom of Mongol ethnic minority, and formed a brand new chorus style which is different from both westernchorus style and traditional Mongolian music. It is sublimated to a higher art of chorus which is more specialized and able to adapt for the times better.Since 1990s, the Mongolian chorus of mixed voice parts without accompaniment has achieved great accomplishments successively in large-sized national and international competitions, which made the domestic level of this art form is in lead in the international world, and won much compliment and honor. During the process of rapid development of this art form, young composer Se Enkebayaer was outstanding. For instance, in 2000, in the "1st Olympic International Chorus Competition" held in Austria, the songs—Mongolian Boots, Camel Bell, Toege, Ode of Eight Steeds, etc. performed by the Mongolian chorus of mixed voice parts without accompaniment won three gold medals and was spoken highly by the evaluation committee and its members. All of these works are composed by Se Enkebayaer. In 2003, in the "2nd Olympic International Chorus Competition" held in Korean, the chorus songs—The Voice of the Land, and Mongolian Chess composed by Se Enkebayaer and performed by the Mongolian Broadcasting Art Chorus won three gold medals again. Among Se Enkebayaer's works, Ode of Eight Steeds is selected as the Ch. People's classic works in the world, and Mirage in Gravel Desert was fixed as the compulsory song in the "World Chorus Festival of Youth" held in Australia.Se Enkebayaer's works were appreciated and praised by famous domestic composers, conductors and music theorists. Some experts commented: "His works including melody, music language and harmony are completely nationalized, they are national voice.", and "He has promoted the Mongolian music, spirit and style to a new state."The art of mixed voice parts chorus without accompaniment in our country is undergoing continuous development and creation, the relevant research lags behind. Under this circumstance, the great achievement made by the famous young composer who comes from the Mongol ethnic minority is laudable. For this reason, his works offers a special and valuable case.
