His obvious showing of traditional Confucianism came from not only the education he had received, but also his experience. The mind of the surviving adherent affected Dai and made his fatal tragedy come into being at last. It mainly rooted in the academic thought he had received, the troublous times he had lived in, the disaster of the life he had experienced, and so on. With the view of the psychology of aging and developmental psychology, the depression resulted from sadness and dismal in Dai's old age was important for his suicide. These all reflected on his literature.Dai's achievements in politics and literature were no match for those of his classmate, Song Lian, but he expressed his life in his own way.
