The Rise Of Modern Chinese Literary Concept

From 1897 to 1911, it is a key period of Chinese literature conception's existing. Modern Chinese novel, as the most significant form of art in the history of Chinese literature in 20th century, its characteristic is the most obvious one. We can't ignore some significant articles from LiangQichao, WangGuowei and Luxun. Most of these articles are written from 1897 to 1911.It is necessary to treat it serious during this period of time.In order to analyzing the process of the rise of modern Chinese literature conception, this essay is based on understanding the concept of 'Modernity'. This conception is connected with two different aspects. One is historical modernity, the other one is aesthetic modernity. Meanwhile, the process of the rise of modern Chinese literature conception is related to the translations of foreign novels, the flourishing of publish. Moreover, this essay is emphasizing three different characteristics: (l)The function of novel as a tool adds new contents.(2) The feature of style would be strengthened.(3) The characteristic of aesthetic modernity ptesents a picture of prosperity.
