Mo Yan Novel Image Theory

This thesis,from literacy angle of aesthetic image,examines thenovels written by Moyan in order to get the essence of the writer's novelsworld.This thesis consist of three parts in all.Part one,first,uses thetheories of the classical Chinese Literature as well as the WesternSymbolism for refernce so as to do textual research on the image's extensionand intension,in return,making the theoretical basis for the paperwriting .The thesis,second,gives a generation for the writing style of theimagism of Moyan'works,discussing on the basically aesthetic features ofimage which keeps to the subject,analying the technical matters of hissurface of the textual writing from the aesthetic anglesof"fantasticism",of"symbolism",of"divergency",of"estrangement".Part two deals with the deep implication of Moyan's novels world,analyinghis influent master piece carefully.According to the difference from theprofound implication of aesthetic image;it,then,can be divided into thethree great sub-systems:aesthetic image of reality,of history,of sprit.Inthis part,we try our best to classify and file his aesthetic system ofMoyan's works,emphasizing the aesthetic image of the representativemeaning from sub-syetem so as to grasp the sprit pursuit and position ofvalue.Part three,the last part of the thesis,sums up the imagist writingof Moyan which carries on the Chinese tradition of"Xie-Yi"literature,developing the importantance of newly fields ofChinese writing,making a distinction between Moyan and Sutong in theirimagist writing,summing up the unique meaning of the word "image"instudying Moyan'novels.
