Mozart's talent in music is unparalleled in the history ofWestern music and the music that he composed is of wide range ofsubjects and substantial content and profound emotion. Among allthe masterpieces of Mozart, the violin concertos and fluteconcertos of his early days have been quite moving, while thesymphonies, piano sonatas and clarinet concertos that he latercomposed have given us tremendous momentum. What plays an importantrole is his 27 piano concertos. Besides the aesthetic feelings, thepiano concertos are the records of Mozart's life as well. People always assert arbitrarily that Mozart's music is "artfor art's sake" or "beauty without any desire". This is actuallythe result of the ignorance of Mozart's time and his dualpersonality. The music of Mozart sounds cheerful and lively, andsad melodies are rarely found. But what is concealed behind themerry music? Or what is actually presented though the music? This article analyzes Ees Dor 10th Double Piano Concerto andaims to grasp the skill of playing his music more exactly, morecomprehensively and more thoroughly, and to clearly understand hischaracteristics in music composing, and to reveal the realconnotation of Mozart's music. This analysis has doublesignificance for the playing and teaching of piano music both intheory and in practice.Ees Dor 10th Double Piano Concerto is the only piano concertosthat Mozart has composed for two pianos. Based on the its composingbackground, music features and aesthetic significance, thisarticle analyze Ees Dor 10th Double Piano Concerto in great detail.The first chapter is about its composing background. With theinfluence of social surroundings, trend of aesthetics and humanism,the music of Mozart becomes mature. Ees Dor 10th Double PianoConcerto marks the ending of a period of time and a new beginningof a new period as well. The second chapter is the noumenon analysisof the music. The three movements of Ees Dor 10th Double PianoConcerto is analyzed in great detail from the perspective of form,harmony,metre,rhythm,melodien,modes and tonality. The thirdchapter introduces its aesthetic characteristics. Thespecial"melancholy beauty"of Ees Dor 10th Double Piano Concertois elaborated from the perspective of aesthetics. The fourthchapter is playing instruction. The deep meaning of "double" isrevealed by analyzing the cooperation of the two pianos.Ees Dor 10th Double Piano Concerto is the piano concerto thatMozart composed in the early time;however, it lays a solidfoundation for his later composing and provides him with a widespace for further development.
