Actually, the writer discusses them in most of his novels, showing his opinions on the issues indirectly. The writing style of John Updike is fine, delicate and sensitive. Thus it is worth appreciating. With the creative application of a catena of metaphors, symbols and myths to his works, Updike endows his works with special artistic significance. The writer's arts complement the manifestation of the topics.Whether to write a novel or to comment on a work of others, Updike's initial concern is put on the display of human nature in a literature work.
