Sun Xingyan Poetry

Sun Xing yan was the representative poet of the Chan Zhou school of poetry in Qing Dynasty , and also the referee of the study of Confucian classics in the period from Qian Long to Jia Qing. Sun Xing yan's action on literature and academic can be individed into two periods according to Biyuanmo. In his earlier stage of literary activities, his major works were the poems; and in the later stage , he was devoted to the study of Confucian classics. But his poetry creation in the different stage were different in ideological content, artistic style ect. The reason was influenced by the textual criticism fashion of the study of Confucian classics. The research of Sun Xing yan' poems have significance in revealing the effect of the study of Confucian classics on literature especially poetry, in discussing the relations of academic and literature, and in analyzing a few of regularity characteristic of the literary development.The full text has three parts:The first part have drawn the outline of Sun Xing yan' poetics activities according to the social and cultural background, and revealed the difference of his poetics activities in the different stage and the change of the subject of his poems by analyzing his poetics activities.The second part have discussed Sun Xing yan' poetics opinions and analyzed the social and cultural background that had affected the formation of his poetics opinions in relation to the effect of the regional culture in Wu Zhong , the poetics tradition and the poetics theory in Chang Zhou ,discussingthe relation between Sun Xing yan' poetics opinions and the poetics tradition and the poetics theory in Chang Zhou. At the same time, Sun Xing yan' poetics opinions have been further made clear by analyzing the argument between Sun Xing yan and Yuan Mei.The third part have emphatically analyzed the effects of poetics circumstances in the period from Qian Long to Jia Qing and the study of Confucian classics on Sun Xing yan' poetry creation and manifestation .From that we can further understand the change of Sun Xing yan' poetry creation in different stage and reason. And, I will discuss the unique value of poems of Qing dynasty scholars , from Sun Xing yan' poem reseaech.In the end , I reveal the effects of Xing yan' poems on the poetry field of Jia Qing, and include the useful theory in the creation process of this thesis and revealed the specific literary law by analyzing in depth.
