Kandinsky's Abstract Painting Theoretical Research

Abstractism came into being at the beginning of 20 century in Russia. What is Abstractism is the innovation of art style, but the most important is that it changed the painting idea which had formed since Revival of Learning.The artist who owned the most profoundest theoretical knowledge in Abstractism school representative persons is Wassily Kandinsky(1866—1944). He is the person who laid a foundatin of modern abstract art theory and the exploiter of the painting practice. There are original views about the key points of the color and the form of the painting(the point, the line,the surface),and the performance of painting in his abstract painting esthetics theory. The painting theory of Kandinsky has a profound influence on the western modern art schools such as the dada doctrine, the performance doctrine, surrealism and so on. We can say that the research of Kandinsky's abstract painting theory is the key to the western 20 century Modernism Painting Esthetics.This paper will discourse upon the Kandinsky's painting theory's concept and category from the angle of the painting esthetics, analyse and conclude the theoretical idea of the painters who have relatation with the formation of abstract painting in the area of art investigation and the related realms with the same age of Wassily Kandinsky. Then we will chiefly discuss three levels of Kandinsky's abstract painting theory ,the rationality of the main theorical category formations and the profound influence to the modern art,and then we will search the worthy art thoughts for consider and drawing lessons from art creations and theorical researches.This text is divided into five parts totally. The first part is the preface that puts forward the author's standpoint and elaborates the textual argumentation ,the chief content ,emphases and difficulties of the paper as the cushion for the teatise of the text. This part points out the important function of the formation of Kandinsky's abstract painting theory and then points out the value and the meanning of theorical research.
