The lacquer-painting refers to the painting creation which use lacquer as main medium material. The history that Chinese ancient people make painting on the lacquerwares is a long one which at least can be traced back to the Chun Qiu and Zhan Guo dynasties. The early lacuquer wares were mainly decorated by lacquer-drawing and thus the lacquer-drawing got plentiful achievements in that period. The ancient "lacquer-painting" depended on the some kind of Chinese traditional instrument, Lian(a mirror which girls used in ancient time),guan(a wood box for dead body), An(a kind of Chinese traditional furniture , seems like table), Pan(a plant), Pingfeng(screen),but it still completely reflected the unique aesthetic value of the lacquer-painting, especially the lacquerwares of zhanguo, Han, Beiwei dynasties, all of which have good painting feature and great art value. They are the excellet legacies of Chinese traditional culture and they proviod the oil for the development of Chinese modern lacquer-painting.As all know, the lacquer-painting possesses two charactics:the characteristic of painting and characteristic of craft. As a type of painting, the feature of painting is its basic nature while the characteric of craft subordinate to the former. The technical feature mainly come from the traditional lacquer-technique. Nowadays a great number of lacquer-painting painter make the technical requirement of exquisite and sleek quality of the lacquer skill to be the only aesthetic standard of the lacquer-painting art. In the creation process, the deep meaning of lacquer-painting art which should be rich is restrained within a narrow rang and thus it may give people a impression that the artists just heap up the materials and show off their drawing skill. Both the soul of the lacquer-painting—the characteristic of drawing and the expression in spiritual degree lose. Other lacquer-painting articles, on the other hand , for-sake the unnecessary materical, but their producer one-side seek the texture effect and the unpredictable change and bright colour which made by repeatedly rub and grind. This makes a negative effort on the expression of the theme and purely "To make texture for the sake of the texture" . They fall in another mistakening area of technical creation:Ignore the soul expression of main body and the specific style of the article. This practice goes against the basic feature of lacquer-painting as a kind of drawing: the feature of painting. The specific feature of lacquer drawing skill is only the method rather than the aim of the creation of lacquer-painting. It is a problem the lacquer-painting is facing with now that is the importance art value the traditional lacquer-drawing devotes to the modern lacquer-painting. The single colour-painting skill of traditional lacquer-drawing put a unforgetable impression on us. It is a important symbol of basic body art value of the lacquer-painting that to play up the splendid momertum of the articles with single skill, which should be used for reference.This paper is on the completely return of the drawing nature of lacquer-painting.
