Bi Shumin is one of the most influential and bardian women author within modern literary world. Her army experience in Tibet when she was young, her medical background and psychology doctoral qualifications, making her works close in upon the nature of life, show a strong sense of life consciousness. This paper is trying to explore this life consciousness in her fictions through the study on three aspects of death theme, theme of birth and maternal love ,and the theme of life care.There is four chapters in this thesis:Chart I, writing is the gushing from the awareness to the lives reorganization, mainly analyze the author's writing background, motivations and characteristics.Chapter II, the death theme, describing in two parts. The first part is to explore the hardship of normal death in her articles, revealing her appeal to a healthy death culture, introducing a such better benign consciousness chain step by step from facing death to responding death, then transcending death; the second part explore the unusual death in her articles, shows her praise to the real life through the analysis to the different fates of dedicators, humble people and suicides.Chapter III, the theme of birth and motherhood, birth and motherhood are the self-experience which directly linked to the life, breed for life makelivings self-generated and bloomed; birth constitute an everlasting life ring; motherhood also seems to be a big love beyond of sex to the author.Chapter IV, the theme of life care, where we overlook at the cycle of birth and death, how to look at life consciousness from life care point of view, this chapter tries to address from the parts of soul rescuing and happiness seeking.Analyzing from the angle of "Life consciousness", Bi Shumin's fictions show a unique personality and rich literature achievement in the modern literary world.
