| Pottery figurine in Sui and Tang Dynasty, creating the resplendence in Chinese pottery art history, is a wonderful novelty in ancient sculpture art history. It not only occupies the important place in the sculpture art phylogeny of our country, but also offers important information in studying the social life,economy,culture,habitude of Sui and Tang Dynasty. The article will take the pottery figurine excavated in the graves of the two capitals of Sui and Tang Dynasty as the primary object for research, and discuss briefly the development and achievement of this pottery's art.In the first part, this article firstly casts back the pottery figurines' origin and developing status in Chinese ancient age and then discusses the social background why pottery is so prevailing.The second part of the article, when hackle the grave more than 200 excavating pottery figurine in the two capitals of Sui and Tang Dynasty, the passage also discusses the pottery figurines' sorts and stages. According to the pottery figurines' sculpt and function, they are sorted tomb-protecting object, warrior figure, lokapala figure, civil and military officer figure, male figure, female figure, musician and dancer figure, acrobat figure, horse and groom figurine, camel and groom figurine, riding figure, and so on. Following, the difference from the different grade graves having the pottery figurines' sorts is discussed. At last, depending on the graves' date and potteries' change, pottery figurines from the two capitals of Sui and Tang Dynasty are divided into three stages, namely Sui to early Tang> grand and terminal Tang, and the article characters in each stage are discussed.The third part of this article mainly studies the sculpture art comparatively between potteries in the Luoyang and Xi'an. And the part discusses primarily the pottery figurines' artistic achievement in Sui and Tang Dynasty. The subject matter of the pottery figurine in the two capitals of Sui and Tang Dynasty is extensive, the content is abundance"; the important expressive object is person, and it is good at depicting typical artistic character; the carven technique is richness; and it uses exaggerated and symbolic techniques on the basis of verity; the figure is romantic, riot, briefly and proficiency; it also uses a lot of painting tact, the line is fluency, ornament is abundance. Following, the part also discusses the reasons why the pottery figurine in the Sui and Tan Dynasty had obtained so great achievement.At last, the forth part of the article discusses the relations between the pottery figurines' art in the Sui and Tang Dynasty and the Northern Dynasty, and the relations between the pottery figurines' art and the art of painting and Buddhism at that time. |
