On Whitehead's " Are Entities "

Actual entity should be regarded as a miniature of his philosophy of organism. The paper had expounded plentiful contents along with their influence that the philosophy of organism contained though discussing event,the event of the continuous state,actual occasion and actual entity, then drawn the outline of a novel natural prospect. Whitehead looked upon the mutual relationship of the above-mentioned four facts as point,line,surface and body visually. Actual entity that had received value and its changing feature became the core of his philosophy of organism. However, Whitehead rejected any static point in his organic theory. So Whitehead regarded the point as idea form .Both actual occasion and actual entity are made up of these idea forms,value and eternal object. On analyzing construction of actual entity and its generalizing process, Whitehead strived to reconstruct entities and established a new kind of subject that had transcended subjective-objective, So that achieved the change from thinking pattern of entity to thinking pattern of event.
