Piano Touch Key Sound

By the reputation of "king of the musical instrument", the piano has a rich expressive force. It may display colorful emotions through timbre regulation of tones, and the touches on keys are the approaches and means in which piano produces wonderful tone colors. The two complements supplement each other. They are reciprocal and inseparable.This paper is divided into four parts.Chapter One: the writing objects and significance of the present paper, academic research achievements related to this thesis at home and abroad, as well as the innovation points in this paper.Chapter Two: the influence of the development of piano on touches on keys and tone colors. It is a study of the relation between touches on keys and tone colors from aspects like piano manufacture crafts in different historical periods, social and historical backgrounds, the producing context and style of works as well as the evolution of piano performance. The research is from the macroscopic aspect.Chapter Three: A study on the practical operation of each kind of ways to touch on tone colors in a specific way. With the weight playing method and mechanics principles in physics, the relation between touches on keys and their tone colors is studied in a microscopic way, analyzing three aspects of the force of touch, the speech of touch and the angle of touch specifically.Chapter Four: A study of the relation between touches on keys and tone colors from the aspects of emotions-expressing. From six different ways to express feelings, it studies the touches and tone colors in relation with music esthetics and the performance psychology. The research perspectives are macroscopic and microscopic, as well as concrete and specific.The study on relation between touches and tone colors can help us to understand and perform music more clearly. It not only provides practical value to piano performance but also has a realistic significance on piano teaching.
