On The Status Of Zhou Yi Ci Concept

Kuang Zhouyi was an excellent writer and theoretician of Ci in Late Qing Dynasty. His life devoted to Ci theory studies and he had many Ci theory studies works. Hui Feng Ci Hua which the essence of Kuang Zhouyi's thought had the extremely important position and significant influence on Ci theory studies in Late Qing Dynasty with Wang Guowei's Ren Jian Ci Hua and Chen Tingzhuo's Bai Yu Zhai Ci Hua. Kuang Zhouyi's theory is rich and profound, the theory about CiJing,CiXin,CiGu,CiBi,CiJing have great value. Kuang Zhouyi's theory not only inherits and summarizes the tradition but also develops the Ci theory studies.In Kuang Zhouyi's Ci theory, CiJing is an important concept. Kuang Zhouyi's CiJing theory researches the deep place of the author's innermost feelings world. His CiJing theory not only summarizes the traditional ShiJing theory but also symbolizes CiJing theory established and mature. This paper tries to research Kuang Zhouyi's Ci theory from CiJing and relate the whole theory from CiJing to CiXin,CiGu. Simultaneously, using comparison methods compares Kuang Zhouyi's Ci theory with Chen Tingzhuo's and Wang Guowei's so as to research Kuang Zhouyi's Ci studies systematically.This paper is composed of three major parts:Part one: The cultural background and theoretical origin of Kuang Zhouyi's Ci studies. The cultural background comprises the sociocultural ethos and current situation of Ci studies. The theoretical origin comprises traditional YiJing theory,XingLingShuo of GongAn School of Ming Dynasty and Ci theory of ChangZhou School of Qing Dynasty.Part two: Kuang Zhouyi's Ci theory studies. This part consists of four chapters such as CiJing,ZhongZhouDa,CiXin,CiGu and takes CiJing as the core word. CiJing includes two meanings: author's mood and YiJing of the Ci works. The connotation of ZhongZhouDa is rich; it's the nature of CiJing. CiXin is prewriting and inspiration of the writer and it's the intrinsic power of creation. The essence of CiGu is "really" and it's the life of Ci .It passes through in the Kuang Zhouyi's Ci theory.Part three: The value and influence of Kuang Zhouyi's Ci studies. Kuang Zhouyi,Cheng Tingzhuo and Wang Guowei are famous theoretician of Ci in Late Qing Dynasty. They lived in the same age, but their theories are different. In order to research into Kuang Zhouyi's Ci studies more thoroughly, I compare their theories and will explicit about the value and influence of Kuang Zhouyi's Ci studies in the comparison.Kuang Zhouyi has made the tremendous contribution for our Ci studies development. He not only has made the very good summary to the traditional Ci studies but also thorough development. As a result of the time and own reason, Kuang Zhouyi's Ci studies has certain conservative nature, but it's still precious inheritance for Chinese traditional literature theories and it's worthy of the further excavation and research.
