Application Of Green Design Concepts In Interior Design Research

The 21st century is the information age, as well as an era of ecological civilization .The idea of "green" interior design is the inevitable trend of development."Green" interior design demands the designers to use effectively of natural resources and energy in the indoor construction and destruction process to exert minimal impact on the natural environment and can even have a positive role to protect the environment, create a cordially comfortable, healthy , safe and "people-oriented" indoor environment.Green design is in respect for nature, and adapted to the nature. The first thing to consider is how to use natural renewable energy resources and reduce non-renewable energy consumption more effectively, while creating a more comfortable living and working environment. Green interior design is a scientific concept of biological, universal ethics and the broader concept of sharing in the construction of the indoor environment embodies. Green design is a design concept, in line with the sustainable development concept design. Green Design directly shows two aspects of the sustainable development: First, the emphasis on development. Constantly improving of the economy, social and cultural levels, including the standard of living; Second, the stress on continuing, the reasonable development and conservation of the non-renewable resources and the proliferation and sustainable use of renewable resources."Green Design's aimed at creating a pollution-free environment which benefits human health through the environmental protection. In green interior design, sustainable development and overall environment concept, and the interior design "5R" principle must be followed. Indoor green design "5R" principles: Revalue, Renew, Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. Which requires designers to establish ecological concepts and do investigation and analysis on the scene to reduce energy consumption, improve energy efficiency, have the capacity to use of renewable energy indoor and create an integrated conceptual design? Indoor green design techniques focus on energy strategy, ventilation design, artificial lighting and natural lighting, building decoration materials and construction technology, the application of plants and water, and indoor air quality control.Returning to nature and concerning human's health are the major issues and the strong aspirations that interior design is facing. Right now, the sight and practices in the pursuit of green ideas have been gaining increasing popularity with the people. We must understand that: indoor "green design" in China is a research and exploration of new issues, it is immature and not perfect. However, in a certain sense, it brings green ideas into interior design, extend the content of interior design. Interior design will be pushed to a higher level and state. It will also promote the using of natural resources from the consuming use to recycling use.
