| With the heritage and development of thousands of years, the art of pipa has become one of the important members of Chinese traditional and national music instruments' family. In the early twentieth century, the five big pipa art schools such as Wuxi, Pinghu, Chongming, Pudong, Wang school has come forth one after the other. Among these schools, Wang is the best-known and most popular art school, and has an important position in the history of Chinese art development. The Wenwudataoqu of Wang school embodies the art soul of Wang school pipa, demonstrating the distinct art fascination in the river of pipa art.Based on an analysis of the historical origin of Wang and the Wenwudataoqu of Wang school, this paper aims to explore the skill characteristics of Wang school play, the art taste of the Wenwudataoqu of Wang school, and the deep cultural significance of Wang school pipa.Chapter 1 gives a brief description of the history when Wang school is formed, and classifies the theme, the types of literature, and the music style of Wenwudataoqu of Wang school pipa.Chapter 2 sums up the techniques of left and right hand, compares them with other schools, and concludes the characteristics of play techniques of Wenwudataoqu of Wang school pipa.Chapter 3 concludes the taste characteristics of Wenwudataoqu of Wang school pipa through a discussion of the music artistic conception of Wenwudataoqu of Wang school and play style of offspring-of Wang school and a comparative analysis of the characteristics of other schools.Chapter 4 explores the cultural significance of Wang school pipa from the cultural perspective, and proposes the author's opinions on some problems such as the development and inheriting of pipa schools and the influence of Wang school pipa on modern pipa development. |
