The relationship of Turco-German epitomize on Baghdad Railway's built. Baghdad railway's built proved to be the "barometer", reflecting Turco-German relationship.The railway problem can be divided from suggesting that to the First World War for four stages basically:The first stage (Before 1888): Both countries had started the preliminary association.,and the empire started it's railway construction. The railway problem had grown out of nothing.The second stage (1888-1908): Under the expansionism policy background of Wilheim and the supports of Abdulhamid, Turco-German relation entered into the scheduled time working together all round rapidly. Railway problem had signed the official agreement ultimately on 1903 and got a first step progress.The third stage (1908-1914): Revolution happened in Ottoman Empire, The Young Turks were in power, the political situation was unsteady. Turco-German relationship experienced a series of twists and Pro-Germany group had established supremacy ultimately. Both countries had signed the new railway agreement in 1911 and the project continued progressing.The Fourth stage (1914-1918): The four-year First World War. Although the railway was affected by the war, the project was still in progress. Before the Moudros Armistice signed in 1918, the railway was linked up to Nusaybin. During the war, Germany and Ottoman Empire formed an alliance and the railway had brought the certain effect into play in the respect of transporting troops and goods and materials.The author got some conclusions from the historical facts: Baghdad railway was the foundational method of German's expansion behavior in Middle East. The railway reflected the complex gambling of great nations. Through the construction of the railway, the volume of trade and investment grow swiftly. Germany also cultivated the Leaning-German faction in Ottoman Empire: Germany's influence in Ottoman Empire became enormous. After the First World War's eruption,Ottoman Empire joined the German camp,and the empire was to moved to collapse.
