Chinese music education field exists the different educational interaction all the time. According to more than 10 kinds of published music education works, there are ancient Chinese music education works, music education in western countries, music education code in modern times and music education monographs in post-modern era. During the last 10 years of the 20th century, there were several discussions on bringing local music into the classroom . Chinese music education seemed to be full of thoughts and theories. There is no need to deny that we can't find the theory of modern education and the "post-modern" effect in primary and secondary schools, particularly from the rural primary and secondary school's music teacher there. Based on Chinese complex social reality and national cultural diversity, and taking into account of the dramatic changes of the cultural and educational tradition under the modern conditions, "devoting to running schools—bringing local music into the schools," has become the focus of attention in this paper.Let's take a typical example—bringing Chang'an Ancient Classical Music into schools . It's a kind of music culture and reflects a particular cultural values and cultural significance. The core of devoting to running schools is to bring rich local music to students. Namely, to bring the "hearts'hearing" to students. The "hearts'hearing" is the core of hearing of music and also an indispensable ability of a person who works on music practice. The way of bringing local music into schools is through Chang'an Ancient Classical Music's learning, so that the seeds of ancient music culture are planted in students'heart and thereby creating the cultural awareness of "local music—the mother tongue".On one hand, bringing Chang'an Ancient Classical Music into class allows Chinese non-material cultural heritage to pass on. On the other hand, it can make local children learn about special music culture of their hometown. In fact, this music culture has been formed in local people's aesthetic judgment. Therefore, it is more easily be accepted by the local people. So we'd better cultivate students'aesthetic capacity and the students will enjoy the local music. If students enjoy local music very much, they love their hometown at the same time. The love emotion towards their hometown is the solid foundation of patriotism. Obviously, patriotic education should begin with learning about hometown. If we learn Chang'an Ancient Classical Music, we will establish a cultural identity and the identity of the value of the feeling of belonging. If local music is deeply brought into the students'life, it will touch the soul of the students, and the local music will become the "soul music" of students.
