Modernist Literary Parody. The Phenomenon Of Study

Parody, the most intentional literature technique, runs through the development history of Chinese and western literature, however, due to orientation of"burlesque imitation", usually making works following parody against serious works, it is even called"parasitism literature"for some time. Until postmodernism period, in consuming society where dispelling grand narration and pursuing plurality are mainstreams, the writers question all existing value system by playfully imitating classic works.This article summarizes narrative strategy of postmodernism literature parody phenomenon by tracing back history of parody phenomenon theory and practice in combination with works featured with parody from western postmodernism period. Basing on strategy demonstration, it reveals current parody phenomenon manifesting deep reflection of postmodernism writer for literature ontology problem. Eventually it explores the application and trend of parody in Chinese culture by summarizing"like-postmodernism"phenomenon in modern Chinese culture.
