The painting of children plays is the popular subject matter in Song Dynasty. Especially, the art characteristic of Su Hanchen's paintings is line drawing exquisite, bright coloration, and the paintings are popular with the people.For example,《Qiu Ting Ying Xi Tu》, a lot of environment is painted as the background on the composition of a painting. On the one hand, the motif is represented in particular. On the other hand, the relationships of main body and the local part are observed. All parts of the painting are concordant with each other. Moreover, the painting is dealt very well with the brushwork of the gather and separation, the main body and the others. The Year Painting about children is important in the early Yangliuqing Year Painting. The Yousimiao is used for line painting. The lift and press, the rapidness and tardiness, and the strength are appropriate. The art effect is represented with the color and line. Thus, the sense is different from the real life that obtained from the painting. The choiceness tradition are developed that elegance in the style, harmoniousness among each parts and brilliance in coloration. The carving is contacted with tradition painting and the painting paint realistically and regularly. In the early years, the paintings about children in Year Painting are counterdraw from Su Hanchen's paintings in Song Dynasty and other artists. The posture and raiment are successive from the painting in Song Dynasty.No matter the expressive skill of the subject matter, figure, composition of a picture, coloration and connotation for Year Painting, Yangliuqing Year Painting are succeed from the painting of children plays in Song Dynasty which is represented by Su Hanchen's.
