The paper mainly talks about Yang Shuda' s academic achievement in ancient Chinese characters.Trough theory and the document example analysis,the paper sums up the achievement in the field of inscriptions on oracle bones,inscriptions on ancient bronze objects,also theories and ways of him.The full text includes four parts together.Chapter one,Yang Shuda and his contribution.The simplicity has been in progress first to Yang Shuda's life.Yang Shuda,(1885 -1956),also known as Yu Fu and Ji Wei,was born in Chang Sha,Hu Nan province.Early years was learned in down-to-earth learning scholar who combined profundity with virtue,in tradition elementary school,the critical interpretation of ancient texts aspect basis deep.He also studied abroad in Japan,and studied west grammar and etymology.So he was able to have a thorough knowledge of both western and traditional Chinese culture.He is considered being to one of scholar having important effect at that time. Secondly,the paper gives a summarization on Yang Shuda's academic achievement.His whole life sinks latent learning,writing.He had great achievement in the field of philology,language science of law,rhetoric, oracle and bronze etc.Thirdly,the paper summarizes the studies of him since 1990s.In 1990s,some scholars studied and published articles,to introduce Yang Shuda's language philology contribution and etymology briefly.Henceforth,as if the academic circles go into to Yang having been at a standstill paragraph of time.In recent years,academic circles scan his academic achievement and position again,gradually cast on him and his book.Thereupon,studies on Yang and his works increases by gradually.These studies start from thin microcosmic place more and more many,hope for in expounding,questioning,have bigger breakthrough and innovative than before.Chapter two,the paper discusses Yang Shuda's achievement on inscriptions on oracle bones.First,his study on inscriptions on oracle bones characters have new interpretation to characters of already knowing.
