Thinking Of The Safety Of Our National Culture, Cultural Globalization

Along with economic globalization, the culture has also followed an inevitable trend of globalization. Cultural globalization is not a single global culture, and homogenization, but the trends of cross-cultural exchange and integration. Cultural particularities have made inevitably the process of globalization a rising conflict between different cultures, resulting in the issue of cultural security. Today, the cultural security has become an important component of the national security. China's special condition makes the safety of our country's national culture greater significance. Thus the study of cultural security has a strong urgency and necessity in our country.This paper is trying to make a breakthrough in the study of cultural security on the basis of the existing research.It consists of three parts.The first part mainly illustrates the implication, main content and importance of cultural security from the basic meaning of culture, and its features , combined with the background of globalization, and the analysis of the evolution of national security.The second part analyzes the status quo of China's cultural security and the insecurity factors it faces, pointing out that cultural globalization has become an irresistible trend, and analyzing concrete factors from internal and external aspects.The third part discusses the cultural security strategies we should take. First, it puts forward the concept of cultural safety as a whole: the succession and sublation of traditional culture --- a solid foundation for cultural security; construction of advanced culture --- the permanent protection of cultural security; absorption and integration of the abroad achievements of civilization --- supplement for the cultural security's vigor. Then,it makes some policy recommendations on account of the challenges of cultural security.
