Liu Qingbang, a famous novelist in the contemporary literary world, is talented in short stories' writing. He focuses on the theme of rural society and coal mine. After reading his novels, we can find the writer is interested in building the images of young ladies. They were born in the country and spend most of time in the country. Father's absence in his nine years old and living with his mother and sisters makes his childhood different from the common children. Deeply influenced by childhood memories, Liu Qingbang's writing build a world full of young ladies and mothers. The young ladies are beautiful and kind-hearted, immersed in the waiting for the pure love. The mothers are devoted to their husband and children. These images and their characters are the model of the images writing. With the development of the society in the late years, the country is conflicted with dramatic changes. The young ladies in the country flock into the city and try their best to settle down in the urban. But with poor education background, they have little opportunity to improve their life. On the contrary, the lure of the money and materialism is so strong that they are compelled to prostitute themselves to earn a living. This article, which has three main parts, is a review of the images of these rural women. In the first and second parts, I would like to describe these images' happy life in the county and the tragedy out of the country in the way of close reading. The confliction between country and city are manifested in this contrast as well as the writer's unbalanced attitude toward the country and city. In the third part, I will try to explore the interior reasons of this phenomenon. I find the special childhood experiments make Liu Qingbang purify and sanctify the Mother. Mother is the symbol of the poetic country. As a son of the peasant, country and land is his spiritual homeland. But when he com back home, everything has been so different. The ideals are illusory and our writer is now homeless. This predicament affects and restrains his writing. Delightedly he has thought about this problem and begun to break through the chains from himself. We would wait and see.
